My question is do you find this flattering? When you decipher his caption he is basically saying "I cheated on my first wife with you, and then I cheated on you and had a baby and you stayed.
There were three ways people took this:
1. This is unflattering.
2. It was thoughtful and honest.
3. Thou shall not judge.
I can see everyone's view point on this topic and where they see good in Dwyane's gesture. We all deserve love and adoration. I applaud that part of it, but it still seems a little sideways. Like maybe love has made it too easy for him to make these mistakes. Are we seeing an example of unconditional love being taken for granted? It was a lot to process. Especially with the recent trend of men making "on break" babies. Is the life of a newborn becoming less cared about than your WCW?
If you really cared about the well being of a child you'd think this through before conceiving a child, uncommitted. Again, my inital reaction. I really hope young men who do look at D Wade as a hero or "pimp" or whatever the title can decipher his actions. I don't want to undermined anyone. I'm sure there are many more cognitive fans than impressionable ones. I hope.
The other day I saw someone on my Instagram feed post a photo of Nas. I liked it, I'm from Queens, I admire Nas and I feel proud of his use of words and story telling. Then read the caption it said 'Nas basically raised me, I learned how to be a man listening to Illmatic'. Nas was 17 when when he wrote Illmatic, how is that even possible? A poor black teenager describing what it was like living in public housing. This is a singular experience not a manual to manhood. You can admire a person's talent with out idolizing their existence. I saw this example of public adoration the same way. I really wish them the best, but is this an example of a healthy courtship? Not at all. Agree or agree to disagree.
I just know she must have been embarrassed. Although the child he had with the other woman is innocent, the proof of his infidelity will always be there. He disrespected her big time. Whether or not she should have stayed? I can't call it.
ReplyDeleteShe chose to stay. That was her decision so we don't know what they discuss in private or how healthy it is. By my standards its not for me. He does seem to be doing a little boasting low key like he's flaunting gabby and his mistakes so he wins overall. Bless them both.
