Photos: Women and Children Cope After Typhoon Haiyan Kills 10,000 in Philippines

It's being reported by countless news sources that typhoon Haiyan has killed over 10,000 people in the Phillipines. The Guardian is providing an excellent timeline of news here to keep up with the play by play of what's happening on the sovereign island.

I pray for the people facing this devatation. Below are photos of women and children survivors. I assume are still realizing the terrible aftermath of Haiyan, one of the strongest recorded storms ever to make landfall.

Testimony like the one from an unidentified woman by one Reuters reporter indicate suffering:

"One woman, eight months pregnant, describes through tears how her 11 family members vanished in the storm, including two daughters. "I can't think right now," she says. "I am overwhelmed." …"
